The In Touch Care (ITC) Program provides you and your dependents personal support to manage health events or chronic conditions at no additional cost. This combined service formerly fell under three programs, Case Management, Disease Management and Advanced Illness Program. It also broadens the scope of the Program to include a Social Work Program and a Pain Management Program.

ITC offers:

  • One-on-one calls– participate in ongoing phone calls with a registered nurse or licensed social worker who serves as a trusted resource. To receive this individualized support, call 800-593-2354.

Cleveland Clinic Health Library

Looking for accurate health information from a trusted source? Use the Cleveland Clinic for free, trustworthy medical information. While at their site, you can sign up for free e-newsletters, physician-hosted online chats, or look up specific health topics.

Using the Cleveland Clinic website, including participating in the physician-hosted online chats, for health information is not part of the FEHB contract or premium, so you cannot file an FEHB disputed claim about it or the chats they hold.

Simple Step to Living Well Together Program (Healthy Action)

If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, FSBP will reach out to you and ask that your provider submit your A1c laboratory results to us. Your A1c laboratory results must be less than 8% during the calendar year for you to earn a $75.00 wellness incentive.

Livongo-Remote Diabetes Monitoring Program

The Livongo-Remote Diabetes Monitoring Program empowers those with diabetes to live a better life. You will receive personalized support through a cellular enabled meter, mobile app and personalized interventions to help you make better decisions about diabetes management. This program is offered at no cost to eligible FSBP members. Eligible candidates will be contacted and asked to participate in the program. Participation is voluntary. 

The program provides:

  • Unlimited blood glucose test strips and lancets
  • Strip reordering right from your meter
  • Livongo glucose meter that tracks strip usage and prompts members to reorder supplies
  • Real-time interventions by Certified Diabetes Educators
  • Personalized tips with each blood glucose check
  • Transfer of your data directly to your provider via the meter
  • Automatic uploads (no more paper logbooks)

Prediabetic Alert Program

The Pre-Diabetic Alert Program is focused to provide education and support for members “at risk” for developing diabetes.

We will contact those individuals identified at risk and offer them the opportunity to participate in the Program. Participation is voluntary. The participant and his/her physician or other health care professional remain in charge of the participant’s treatment plan.

AbleTo is a web-based video conferencing personalized 8-week treatment support program designed to address the unique emotional and behavioral health needs of individuals learning to live with conditions like heart diseasetype 2 diabeteschronic pain or life events such as losing a loved one or having a baby. You will work with the same therapist and coach each week to set reasonable goals toward healthier lifestyle changes.

There are several ways we identify members who may benefit from the AbleTo support such as:

  • Your nurses or clinicians may refer you to AbleTo as they work directly with you and can refer you if it is determined that you can benefit from AbleTo support.
  • If identified, an Engagement Specialist from AbleTo will contact you to introduce the treatment option.

The FSBP‘s Cancer Support Program is designed to provide education and support to members.

We will contact candidates and ask them to participate in the Program. Participation is voluntary. The participant and his/her physician or other health care professional remain in charge of the treatment plan.

TherapEase Cuisine®

TherapEase Cuisine is an oncology nutritional service offering reliable information and scientifically based nutritional solutions to those diagnosed with cancer. The TherapEase Cuisine exclusive online service is offered to patients who use Accredo®, a specialty pharmacy. Its personalized support helps answer the question, “What should I be eating?”

PinnacleCare offers a personalized health advisory support program for Foreign Service Benefit Plan (FSBP) members facing a serious diagnosis. This program is included in your FSBP coverage at no additional cost.

The FSBP Clinical Team is available to support members facing health challenges. Our nurse case managers will refer you to PinnacleCare if you are suffering from certain illnesses or are in need of major procedures. The medical experts and dedicated health advisors at PinnacleCare will help FSBP members navigate the complexities of the health care system. Their goal is to provide better medical intelligence, preferred access to top-specialists and improved health outcomes. Simple Step to Living Well Together Program (Healthy Action)

If you have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, FSBP will reach out to members with high blood pressure and provide a form for your provider to complete. Your provider must document two controlled blood pressure readings below 140/90 on separate visits during the current calendar year to earn a $75.00 Wellness incentive.

Livongo-Remote Hypertension Monitoring Program

The Livongo-Remote Hypertension Monitoring Program is a health benefit that combines advanced technology with personalized coaching to help you easily manage high blood pressure. This program is offered at no cost to eligible FSBP members. Eligible candidates will be contacted and invited to participate in the Program. Participation is voluntary.

The program provides:

  • A Bluetooth enabled blood pressure monitor and cuff
  • Access to Livongo’s expert health coaches when you need it

This program uses interactive web and mobile applications that deliver evidence-based psychotherapy models like:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness acceptance

Personalized inspirational and wellness approaches increase personal relevance, improve outcomes and focus on total well-being.

Telehealth Services (Stateside) 

Telehealth consultations are available to members in the 50 United States through Teladoc™.

U.S. board-certified physicians and pediatricians are available 24/7 for a consultation by phone, video, or the Teladoc™ mobile app. You also can see a behavioral health provider for depression, anxiety and stress, as well as a nutritionist for dietary conditions or dermatologist for skin conditions.

  • Speak with a family doctor
    For conditions like the flu, cough, colds, seasonal allergies, sinus problems, arthritis, upper respiratory infection, backaches and food poisoning
  • Connect with a dermatologist
    Upload images of your issue to the app and get a treatment plan and prescription, if needed, for skin conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, and more

Telehealth Services (Overseas Members) 

Telehealth consultations are available to members outside the 50 United States through our telehealth vendor, vHealth by Aetna. Access telehealth services 24/7/365 by web, phone, and the vHealth mobile app to receive treatment for general medicine. Treatment may include preventive care as well as treatment for acute and chronic illnesses. A provider also may give referrals and prescribe medications, when appropriate.

Note: Telehealth through vHealth is available to members with a foreign address (including APO, FPO, DPO and Pouch Mail addresses). In addition, members with a stateside address may access telehealth through vHealth by Aetna while traveling outside the 50 United States. Telehealth consultations through vHealth are available for general medicine

Mediterranean Wellness Program*

The Mediterranean diet is known to be one of the healthiest diets in the world. For those who want to see gains in overall well-being and appreciate a preplanned structure, try this 8-week interactive online program that includes access to a registered dietician.

You can receive up to 100% reimbursement for the Mediterranean Wellness Program once you complete at least 80% of the Program. Once you complete at least 80% of the Program, FSBP will automatically reimburse you for the cost of the program under the Plan’s Nutritional counseling benefit.

If are pregnant, request to have your provider submit documentation of a prenatal care visit during the first trimester. A copy of the prenatal care medical record of Obstetric Panel testing from your attending provider is needed to earn a $75.00 wellness incentive.

Healthy Pregnancy Program

Our Healthy Pregnancy program is managed by a special team of nurses. They can give you information and resources to help ensure a healthy pregnancy. They can also work with your doctor to plan specialized care. You’ll pay no additional out-of-pocket expenses by using the program. Plus, you’ll receive:

Healthy Pregnancy Education Kit

A book about pregnancy, a pregnancy calendar and guides to help you promote your health and the health of your baby.

Special Educational Materials

For women with special health needs, such as controlling diabetes during pregnancy or managing high blood pressure, we offer a variety of booklets free of charge.

Pregnancy Care Management

In the event of the need for specialized prenatal care, our case management nurses help plan services to promote the health of both you and your baby.

Institutes of Excellence™ (IOE) Infertility Providers

Trying to Conceive? FSBP members have access to infertility providers with proven outcomes through Aetna’s Institutes of Excellence (IOE) Infertility network. Learn more about this at http://www.aetnainfertilitycare.com/.

Note: This program is not part of the FEHB contract or premium and you cannot file an FEHB disputed claim about them. Fees you pay for these services do not count toward FEHB deductibles, copayments or catastrophic protection out-of-pocket maximums.

Tobacco Cessation

Explore FSBP‘s programs to help manage your tobacco addiciton.

Smoking Cessation Program

We cover up to two quit attempts per member per calendar year. Quit attempts include proactive telephone counseling and up to four tobacco cessation counseling sessions of at least 30 minutes each in each quit attempt.

Physician-prescribed OTC and prescription drugs approved by the FDA to treat tobacco dependence may be obtained through the Tobacco Cessation Program at no charge. For more details, please see Section 5(f). of your Official Plan Brochure
