Happy Women’s History Month! Did you know that in 1987, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9, which designated March as Women’s History Month? It is a time when we unite to pay tribute to women worldwide and celebrate their incredible impact on the healthcare industry. For March, AFPSA is highlighting women in the industry who served as advocates, trailblazers, and inspirations for future generations in healthcare.
An eating disorder according to the National Institute of Mental Health is an illness associated with severe disturbances in people’s eating behaviors and related thoughts and emotions. While eating disorders are often presented in more physical ways, they wreak havoc on someone’s mental health too. While they manifest differently, they all share the common thread of disrupting a person’s life, often leading to severe health consequences if left untreated.

Open Season started Monday, November 13th and it is already in full swing! You have until December 11th to make changes to your health insurance, dental and vision insurance, and FSAFEDS program. If you’re happy with your health, dental/vision insurance, there is no action needed on your end. For the FSAFEDS program, you do have to re-enroll every year.
