From the CEO

Greetings AFSPA Family,

Summer is in full swing in most places, and although this usually brings outdoor activities and long-awaited vacations, COVID-19 has made this year different. Because this pandemic presents unique challenges to summer routines, I would like to share some ideas on how to make the best of the next few months.

From the CEO

Welcome to Summer 2020! All around the world, Coronavirus continues to affect our work, lives, and additional daily activities in ways we never imaged. But amid these changes, the American Foreign Service Protective Association (AFSPA) is striving to offer you stability and security through our robust worldwide health services.

From the CEO

Welcome to May 2020! Although effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have continued to evolve and bring change, the American Foreign Service Protective Association (AFSPA) strives to offer consistency and stability.

Introducing VHealth for FSBP Members Overseas

FSBP partnered with vHealth by Aetna (https://globalcareondemand.com/aetna) – a telehealth service that allows you to consult with a doctor virtually. Overseas members can use an app, mobile device, or phone to access affordable high-quality, general health care – any time of day, anywhere in the world.

Notification to Department of Defense (DOD) Civilian Employee Members

The Department of State (DOS) has approved an Authorized Departure from foreign areas to include Department of Defense (DoD) civilian employees — and/or other eligible family members (EFMs) who may need to accompany them – who have determined they are at higher risk of a poor outcome if exposed to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

From the CEO

Greetings and Welcome to April 2020! The world has changed drastically since my March CEO message; COVID-19 has affected everyone around the globe by changing the way we work and interact. But the American Foreign Service Protective Association (AFSPA) wants to support you during these unique and challenging times.
